Congratulations to the four students from Wellington High School who were selected to go to Boys and Girls State. The students are: Bridgette Trainer, Paige Childs, Kate Nadler, and Taylor Bryant.

Tracey Barker, High School Science Teacher at Wellington-Napoleon High School has been selected to attend and participate in the Honeywell Educators in Space Program to be held June 17-23, 2010, in Huntsville, Alabama.  The program takes place at the United States Space & Rocket Center.  While there, Mrs. Barker will be walking frictionless on the moon, participating in two space shuttle simulations, involved in a helicopter crash simulation and various other activities.  Mrs. Barker is very excited about being selected to participate and the Wellington-Napoleon School District is proud of her outstanding accomplishment in being selected for this program.

Students in the Wellington-Napoleon School District, thousands of miles away from a country that was struck with massive destruction, pulled their resources together and provided much needed items for the children of Haiti. Items collected included shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, antibacterial soap, hand towels, and combs. Mr. Ryan True's 7th Grade Geography class assembled all of the products in packages to be taken to a drop off point for statewide collection from schools across Missouri. From that point, the packages will make the trip across the ocean to be distributed to the children of Haiti.

The Elementary celebrated Dr. Susess birthday on March 2nd. They had some very special visitors come and see them including: The Cat in The Hat, and The Grinch.
